Things I never want to see in a BlackBerry.

There's a couple of things I never want to see on a BlackBerry: Fingerprint Scanner, Face Unlock and no method of monitoring the user ie SG3 eye tracking/any kind of "listening"

before I got my Lenovo X220 I thought finger print scanners were dumb, NOW I love it and am mad I didn't spend the extra $40 to get it on my T520

Your finger can be easily forced on the scanner, a password is much harder to extract from your head. It puts you at risk.

Anyone that's capable of forcing my finger on a scanner is probably capable of getting it out of my head. I gave in to them forcing it onto the scanner for a pretty good reason....probably I left my gun at home and they didn't.

you know that's a good point.
I got pulled in Christmas eve for a DUI (ok I get toasted at the Office Christmas party once a year - sue me)

They took my phone and my fingerprints at the same time.. I was happy it was a secure password protected blackberry.. but would have not been too difficult to move the finger over to the phone and say "oops I missed - tell your lawyer..."

I never want to see apps that require a lot of work or Sherlock Holmes-like craftiness to load and keep working. I DO want easy to get working apps that surprise me with their anticipation or use of intuitive assistance. IOW I want a smartphone, not a construction project. (its okay if they start-operate easy and then get complicated)

Remember what happened since car security got much better and an opportunistic thief couldn't just steal a car anymore? They started highjacking them and breaking into houses for the keys putting the owner at risk. I don't consider fingerprint to be security at all.

Simple if it can be uninstalled, uninstall it. Or simply don't use it. That's the beauty of it and everyone can get what they do or do not want.

I want Skype, because as long as RIM doesn't have Skype I have to have an Apple product with it, since we have weekly national skype calls, and since they are run from the west coast office it is the middle of the day for me so I need my Skype mobile.
I want choices!
I want to be able to uninstall / shrink the OS to remove what I don't want, but the options to have what I do what

Ok, you guys can get Verizon BlackBerry handsets; then you can have your Skype. I hope BlackBerry never gets Netflix. I hate what it represents: a bunch of crybabies on the the other sh*t site. Don't want to "uninstall" or "not use" it; I just don't want anyone to have it. ;)

Skype is actually important for business, its used heavily in the business world. And Since BlackBerry is a integrated business tool, and a consumer product as well, it is VERY important to have Skype!

As for Netflix, it's a SH!T service. So I don't care if we ever get it or not.
