What function do you have assigned to your convenience key?

Well not yet - too lazy to get around to it. But I curse myself whenever I need to find the flashlight in a hurry.

Left key: Password Lock

This is most of the time. Sometimes I substitute one or the other with the Clock, but usually it's these two.

My one button has two functions. The quick press will launch the still camera while a press and hold will launch my voice dictation app.

at the moment I have the left one as bbm and since I'm fortunate to have two, the other one is the standard camera button.

Not sure what app he uses but it certainly is something that requires an app to do so.
shortcutme is an excellent program I have used and allows you to set macros.

Yes, the app will dictate this function. The one I currently use is iSpeech Dictation Pro. I'm on a 9810 btw.

Nothing. I messed around with it a bit but found I was always accidentally hitting it and having to close the app. Got annoyed, disabled it, happy again!

Not that I've ever assigned "nothing" to a convenience key, but I love that being able to do so is an option.

Screen Capture App (Forget what it's called, whatever the original one was).
I've had the same app assigned to my convenience key for four years now. Since the Bold 9000.

I have my convenience button set to "Do Nothing" but Vlingo uses it. When I press the key, bingo, I get Vlingo :))

I couldn't install Vlingo @Anthony- It says "to continue, press and release the side key". Ok I did that. It does nothing. So then what? You only have the choice to go back. It's an endless loop! ~X(

@Blackjack93117, once you press and release the key it's setup!

To use Vlingo push the convenience button...a box should appear saying it's listening :-@

I have Vlingo Plus (complements of RIM).

Ringer level. I seem to need that a lot - back and forth to silent.
Sometimes I will switch it to Camera If I want super quick access to take pictures. .

If I'm using Vlingo, I have it set to nothing, per the instructions. Otherwise, I leave it set for the camera.
