You'd be surprised how many discontented iphone users I've come across lately...well ok, at work I'm surrounded by them. But Siriously (yes pun intended) it seems like lately there are more and more who are getting frustrated by their iphones; doesn't seem to be one particular thing. I had one guy really frustrated with his calendar; in his words, "I feel like I have to either a) have all my calendar data in two different places, and make sure I update those two places, or b) plunk down more money for a mac so they'll sync properly". I showed him how I sync to Outlook, and then with Bridge, all my calendar stuff is up to date automatically. He seemed very interested.

I know I've said it before, but if RIM can nail it with BB10, I think they'll pick up a lot of discontented users from both of the other OS's. I'm not saying those OS's will go away, because they have too many loyalists; but if BB10 has the same "git-er-done" functionality as BB7 that we've all come to love and know, well, I'm excited to see what happens.

Yea, don't give him any more hits. He just uses a bunch of inflammatory, over-the-top rhetoric to berate RIM and BlackBerry. What I saw as ironical was how he suggested RIM be parted out. He would name a feature like BBM, admit that it works great, admit that apple's messenger performs poorly, and conclude that BBM should go to apple so that its purported more up-to-date/modern messenger (which, according to him, looks better) would perform better. He named another feature (I forget what) and said it should go to struggling Windows phone so that that platform doesn't "go the way of RIM." Well, if other platforms are struggling and could benefit from these numerous quality parts of RIM, then his trash talking article really proves the opposite of what he's trying to say, that BlackBerry is actually better than the others.

Yes rather ironic that he sees value in a lot of RIMs assets and questions how to "carve up the turkey" rather than throw away the carcass...
